Will began his career as a singer/songwriter at the age of 14, performing at local open mics and various pubs and clubs in the South East of England, mainly in Tunbridge Wells and London.
His early influences included bands such as Paramore, Coldplay, and Simple Plan, and artists such as Adele and Colbie Callait. The mixture of these influences is apparent in his songwriting - catchy, light melodies meet with powerful vocals and rhythmic chord progressions.
Will is mostly self taught with guitar and keyboards, and has limited tutelage with his songwriting, however what he lacks in formal training, he makes up for with real -world experience, passion, and a meticulous work ethic.
After several years of performing live and writing original songs, production and technology was the next obvious step for Will. After finishing at the top of his Music Technology class in sixth form, he went on to study Creative Music Technology BA(Hons) at Falmouth University and again finished at the top of his class with First Class Honours.
In his years of study, Will has pursued a journey of self exploration and experimentation with his music, and has developed skills in mixing, composition for the moving image, sound design and computing.
In 2018, Will lead the musical development for the technology start-up company 'Kurv Guitar' and then moved to the Canary Islands to pursue a career in drag performance which, although spanning only less than a year, has taken him across the Canary Islands all the way to the West End.
In January 2016, Will made his debut as drag performer Ruby Gold and performed at various events at Falmouth University. In these early days Will took part in several university projects as Ruby Gold including modelling and documentary work.
Today however, he has fully realised his aspiration to perform as a drag queen professionally, by completing a contract with the Music Hall Tavern in 2018 and immediately afterwards being asked to represent them in their UK and Ireland 2019 Theatre Tour.
